Professional teeth whitening is faster, more effective, and longer lasting than treatments you find over the counter. As we age, our teeth darken over time. We can brighten your teeth by five to ten shades in a single session, but maintaining good oral hygiene and steering away from certain foods and beverages will help keep any future whitening services to a minimum. Before beginning whitening treatment, it is highly recommended that you first see us for an exam, clean and complete any necessary treatment to ensure that the whitening agent works directly onto a clean tooth’s surface rather than any plaque build-up or decay on your teeth.
In-Chair Whitening
In-chair whitening uses a stronger whitening material than our take-home packages and is a one-time treatment for instant results. The product we use is Pola Office+ which contains 37.5% hydrogen peroxide and is Australian made.
Procedure:
- Thorough cleansing and polishing of teeth
- Application of gum protectant
- Application of whitening agent up to 4 times with light activation for several minutes
- Teeth and gums are rinsed
Take-Home Whitening
Our take-home whitening package is different from over the counter versions. It consists of a custom-made whitening tray that fit your teeth which is unlike the “one-size-fits-all” ones that you may find in most commercial whitening products. The whitening gel can be used for many applications and refills can be purchased from us. The whitening gel is Designer White Advanced and contains 18% carbamide peroxide (equivalent to 6% hydrogen peroxide).
